This summer I had the opportunity to host a workshop on Bacterial Nanocellulose - Growing Leather during the Fab24 International Fab Lab Conference in IDIT, Puebla, Mexico.

Even though I am not an expect in Bacterial Leather made of Nano-cellulose, I have gathered some nice references and developed recipes that I would like to share, hoping that everyone can iterate, improve and re-share!
Here is my presentation
Here is a collection of further readings regarding the topic>
- Paper > Biofilm inspired fabrication of functional bacterial cellulose
- Paper > Use of bacterial cellulose in the textile industry and the wettability challenge
- Paper >Innocell Bioreactor: An Open-Source Development to Produce Biomaterials for Food and Packaging Based on Fermentation Processes
- Video> Development of Bacteria Cellulose Fibers from a Sustainable Source
- Thesis > Bacterial Cellulose: New bio-composites based on bacterial cellulose for architectural membranes
